Twelve million new cases of cancer diagnosed in 2007! In addition, cancer also killed
eight million people worldwide in 2007!
These figures are part of a report entitled "Global Cancer Facts & Figures" prepared by
the American Cancer Society. Clearly, the facts do support the contention that the "War
on Cancer" is being lost as the numbers continue to increase. Why?
The sad reality, in my opinion, is that the "war" will never be won until more people are
educated to understand that the majority of cancers are lifestyle related and generally
avoidable. There are naturally exceptions to that statement, of course, given that some
cancers are initiated by infections which can come from multiple sources as well as
genetic flaws. These are, however, in the minority.
Will this education actually happen? No, not unless a big miracle occurs! Why? Well, the
main reason is money! The cancer industry is BIG money. There are many "corporates"
and individuals who would not like to see the status quo changed. There are livelihoods
and investments that these people feel need to be protected.
I believe that most of the people in the cancer "industry" are well-meaning, sincere
individuals who have trained intensively for their jobs. But, the training is all slanted to
intervention and in recent years to early detection. However, in reality there is no such
thing as "early" detection. By the time a cancer is detected, it is well advanced and has
taken many years to get to that point. I agree that the earlier it is detected the better the
chance that intervention protocols will be successful, but only a percentage are.
The true key to reducing the number of cancer cases is education and prevention. That is
having people understand that we all have cancers present within us. Throughout our
lives there is a constant battle going on within our bodies between pro-cancer agents and
anti-cancer agents. A weakening in our body's anti-cancer agents, which need a constant
supply of essential nutrients to remain effective, can tip the scales and allow the cancer to
gain a foothold on which to advance.
Simply put: If you are concerned about the possibility of getting cancer - and we all
should be - make sure that you do everything to prevent it from taking hold. That means:
-- A sensible diet devoid of processed foods, and plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits.
-- Reasonable exercise to help stimulate your immune system.
-- Positive mental (and/or spiritual) health.
-- Supplementation with nutrients that will help provide the fuel for your body's defense
systems. An idea supplement for this purpose is Poly-MVA, a supplement that provides
superlative nutritional support for prevention of cancer and other degenerative diseases,
as well as support of optimal health and quality of life. For more information on Poly-MVA, click here.
Inform yourself on a healthy lifestyle and take control of your own well-being, and the
well-being of your loved ones!
