Diagnosis: Neuroendocrine w/ Metastasis to Lymph nodes
In May 2006 I felt a soft small lump on the left side, in my groin area.
In Sept. Dr Fosse removed some lymph nodes in that area & told me that they were cancerous. They realized that the cancer had metastasized from another area of my body because I did not have a lymph type of cancer but rather a neuro-endocrine cancer. They never did find the prime cancer, however, more showed up in the groin.
I consulted my family doctor, Dr Tom Barnard to see if there were any alternative methods of treatment. He gave me information and explained Poly-MVA to me. I began to take it immediately. My children were upset because my husband had died in 2001 & they were afraid of losing me also! I continued with Poly-MVA until after my first treatment of chemo on April 4, 2007.
On my first exam, after the first chemo treatment on April 24, 07, Dr. Yoshida, the oncologist, said that he was very surprised because he could not feel any lumps.
I had 6 chemo treatments between April 4 and Aug 24, 07. Although very tired, I did not vomit (as often happens with chemo).
I have had exams at the cancer clinic Sept & Dec/ 07, Jan & Apr/08, Apr/09. I was told to come back for another exam in a year. All is well!
Since the chemo ended I have been taking Poly-MVA. I am taking ½ tsp per day currently.
I walk and exercise each day, eat a healthy diet and in spite of a heart problem, I am a 78-year-old woman enjoying a wonderful life!
Yours truly,
Kay (Katherine)
